Kaum Marginal Sebagai Subjek Pelayanan Dalam Gereja Menurut Pemahaman Jurgen Moltmann

This paper examines the position of marginalised groups in the context of church ministry through the lens of Jürgen Moltmann’s theological thought. Using a qualitative approach grounded in a review of the literature, this study explores how suffering and marginalisation can become a space in which God’s presence is tangibly realised through the cross of Christ. Moltmann’s theology of the cross affirms that God does not shy away from suffering, but rather experiences it as a manifestation of divine solidarity.  Consequently, marginalised individuals are not merely objects of compassion, but must be included as active participants in ministry and decision-making within the church.  This research also highlights the significance of empowering marginalised groups through education, social participation and equal spiritual recognition. This reflection leads to the understanding that the true church is a community of hope that realises justice, equality and liberating love.
