AI Observatory — Verified AI and Search Crawler Retrieval Monitoring
Description
AI Observatory is a server-side retrieval monitoring framework developed by Sydney Business Web. It provides observable evidence of recognised AI and search crawler activity, including which website resources are requested, whether retrievals succeed, and how machine access changes over time. It is designed to distinguish verified retrieval behaviour from ordinary traffic analytics and simple bot counting.
Technical authorship: Keith Rowley, Co-Owner and Lead Engineer, Sydney Business Web. BSc (Hons), MBA; former Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) and MSAIEE.
This public deposit documents the architecture, methodology, evidence model and technical design of AI Observatory. The production implementation, proprietary source code, crawler qualification logic, filtering rules, internal thresholds, authentication mechanisms, customer data and commercial implementation remain proprietary to Sydney Business Web and are not included in this deposit.
