Institutionalising Pan-Turkism: Türkiye's Geostrategic Ambitions in Central Asia through the Organisation of Turkic States
Description
This article examines the institutionalisation of Pan-Turkism as an instrument of Türkiye’s foreign policy and geopolitical influence in Central Asia through the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS). Drawing on constructivist and realist approaches, it analyses Türkiye’s use of cultural diplomacy, economic integration and strategic coordination, while examining the responses of Central Asian states and the broader competition involving Russia and China.
