This review highlights the importance of herbal cosmetics, hair structure and growth cycle, common hair disorders, and the role of herbal hair care products in hair management.Various medicinal plants such as Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis), Curry Leaves (Murraya koenigii), Shikakai (Acacia concinna), Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum), and Jasmine Oil (Jasminum officinale) are discussed for their beneficial effects on hair growth, scalp nourishment, dandruff control, and hair strengthening. The review also covers the evaluation parameters of herbal hair care formulations, including physical and physicochemical assessments. Overall, herbal hair care cosmetics provide a natural, effective, and eco-friendly alternative to conventional hair care products and contribute significantly to the promotion of healthy hair and scalp.
