Discrete Mathematics

Lecture notes on Discrete Mathematics for students of the Informatics field of study.

The publication presents the basic concepts, definitions, properties, and methods of discrete mathematics in accordance with the curriculum of the discipline. The material covers topics including set algebra, mathematical logic, Boolean functions, relations, combinatorics, recurrence relations, and related discrete mathematical structures.

The lecture notes contain theoretical material, definitions, theorems, explanations, and examples of problem solving intended to support students' learning and independent work. Examples of problems similar to those used for current assessment of students in full-time and part-time study are also provided.

The work was originally prepared as lecture notes for educational purposes at the Institute of Chemical Technologies of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.
