Financial communication and stock prices of companies in the BRVM-distribution sector index
Authors/Creators
Description
This article analyses the impact of financial communication on stock price variations of distribution companies listed on the BRVM, using companies such as Servair Abidjan and Bernabe CI as case studies. The objective is to understand the extent to which financial information, and more specifically performance indicators such as earnings per share (EPS), dividend per share (DPS), debt ratio (DR), price earning ratio (PER) and return on equity (ROE), influence investor decisions and share price fluctuations in this sector. Using a methodology combining quantitative analysis on E-views and a questionnaire completed by market players, the study assesses investor reactions to different types of financial information published by companies. The results show a significant correlation between the indicators included in our study and share price movements, highlighting the importance of financial transparency for greater market predictability.
