D6.12 Final report on the actions carried on in the case studies

Description
Polluted stormwater runoff in urban areas poses a serious threat to both public health and biodiversity. These challenges are being intensified by changing rainfall patterns that increase storm overflows, as well as the growing detection of Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs). To effectively reduce the impacts of diffuse pollution, collaboration between urban planners, policymakers, and water utilities is essential. D4RUNOFF has been committed to build a strong network and connections with local, national stakeholders especially from those in the three pilot cities—Odense (Denmark), Santander (Spain), and Pontedera (Italy)— as they are central to demonstrating the potential of the project’s tools and technologies. This document presents a comprehensive overview of stakeholder engagement activities carried out during the thir and final phase of the project covering the M30-M41. Besides keeping the relevant stakeholders in the loop, one of the key objectives is to present them the final project’s outcomes and how they could be benefitted from them in academic and technological perspective and utilise them after the end of the project in local and regional level which will prove the long-term impact and sustainability of the project. Finally, our case studies have been ‘’used’’ as ‘’testers’’ to validate the project’s sensors (developed by INL) the risk assessment methodology (developed by MITIGA), the social module of the AI-assisted platform (developed by ITG in collaboration with University of Cantabria) and the cards game (developed by Three o’clock).
