Building a Wave (Quest for Entropy #5)

Authors/Creators

Description

Quest for Entropy #5: I wanted a probability cloud that spreads into a shape and then stops — and oscillates. I built six worlds to find one. Here is exactly how each of them failed.

- Nothing here is a claim about how quantum mechanics works, and no Born rule is derived or attempted. This is what classical probability distributions can and cannot do. - Six systems, one ruler, finite runs. The ordering held at every resolution I tried; the exact numbers are the ruler's.

Notes

The author is a software architect, not a physicist. The direction, the questions and the calls are his; the heavy lifting - the math, the physics checks, the code, the sums - is AI. Every experiment declares its pass marks before it runs, a mark may be made harder afterwards but never softer, results are challenged by independent adversarial AI review, and every mistake caught goes into a public honesty ledger. Every number is printed by code included in the companion archive. Article text and figures: CC BY 4.0. Code in the companion archive: MIT.
