PLANETS Deliverable D9.4 - Outreach materials for targeted stakeholder groups – Initial

Deliverable D9.4 “Outreach materials for targeted stakeholder groups – Initial” summarises the communication channels, outreach materials, and stakeholder-specific engagement activities developed within PLANETS from November 2024 (M1) to April 2026 (M18). Effective and targeted outreach is essential to ensuring that PLANETS results reach the scientific community, industry, policy makers, civil society, and other key audiences, supporting the broader adoption of Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) approaches.
Based on the stakeholder mapping exercise conducted in 2025, PLANETS has defined tailored outreach objectives for each target group, ranging from disseminating scientific findings and promoting industry uptake to engaging with regulators and policy makers, as well as the general public, and strengthening ties with related European initiatives and professional associations.
To address these diverse needs, the project has established a set of communication channels—including the project website, LinkedIn account, Zenodo community, and YouTube channel—which serve as central platforms for sharing project outputs, training materials, and updates. A wide range of outreach materials has been produced, such as the visual identity, marketing materials, infographics, conference presentations and posters, training materials, articles in external newsletters, scientific publications, surveys, etc., in line with Horizon Europe communication requirements. Publicly available materials are downloadable from the project website and, when relevant, from the PLANETS Community in Zenodo.
This deliverable also outlines the project’s ongoing monitoring activities, which track key performance indicators such as engagement levels, downloads, views, and follower growth. These insights support continuous improvement of the communication and dissemination strategy.
Overall, PLANETS has developed a robust, multi-channel outreach strategy that effectively supports visibility, engagement, and uptake of its results across key stakeholder communities.
