The Hidden Cost of Poor WiFi in Hospitality Environments
Authors/Creators
Description
Reliable WiFi has become a critical component of the modern hospitality experience, yet its business impact remains frequently underestimated. This report analyses the hidden costs associated with poor WiFi quality, including reduced guest satisfaction, reputational damage, operational inefficiencies and lost revenue opportunities. It distinguishes WiFi Quality from Internet Performance, demonstrates the limitations of conventional speed testing, and argues for systematic real-world assessment methodologies focused on the experience actually delivered to end users. The publication forms part of the WiFi Quality Institute Technical Report Series investigating the measurement, assessment and management of WiFi Quality.
