Nashik is among the most culturally important and historical cities of India. The city bears relevance with ancient civilization, traditional stories, culture, and Indian traditional knowledge systems. Nashik portrays continuity in culture from the very old period till now via temples, religious sites, history, and other cultural different parts. This research paper aims at discussing the significance of Nashik regarding religion and history, cultural and traditional significance, and contribution towards IKS.
This study discusses major religious sites such as Trimbakeshwar, Panchvati, Kalaram Temple, and Sita Gufa, with historical sites like Anjaneri and Coin Museum. This paper highlights how these cultural sites preserve indigenous knowledge, belief systems, architecture, and cultural continuity. The research is based on descriptive and critical understanding of historical and cultural information.
