Description

Abstract

Sustainable economic growth refers to the process of increasing economic output while ensuring the efficient use of natural resources, environmental protection, and social well-being. It aims to balance present developmental needs with the requirements of future generations through resource efficiency, technological innovation, and inclusive development. Sustainable growth emphasizes environmental stewardship, long-term economic stability, and equitable distribution of benefits across society. Governments, businesses, and consumers play a vital role in achieving sustainability through policy reforms, investment in green technologies, and responsible consumption patterns. The concept encompasses four pillars—environmental, economic, social, and human sustainability—which together contribute to a resilient and prosperous future. In the context of increasing environmental challenges and resource scarcity, sustainable economic growth has become essential for achieving balanced development and fulfilling the objectives of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, adopting sustainable practices is crucial for ensuring economic prosperity while preserving ecological balance and improving the quality of life for present and future generations
