Excitation Field Theory: Phase Synchronization and Semantic Phase Transitions in Socio-Linguistic Networks

Authors/Creators

Description

Excitation Field Theory (EFT) is a conceptual and computational framework that models the alignment observed between individual cognition, collective cultural dynamics, and large-scale linguistic patterns. EFT proposes that individual minds, cultural systems, and linguistic environments can be represented as participating in a shared informational field, and that during periods of social transition the structure of this field becomes increasingly coherent, aligning internal psychological states with external linguistic narratives. Drawing on dynamical systems modeling, attractor theory, and meaning-based cognitive models, this paper frames synchronicity not as supernatural causation or cognitive error, but as a candidate consequence of phase synchronization within a dynamical multi-agent system. This version presents EFT as an initial theoretical formulation: the core formal link between field coherence and subjective synchronicity (Section 3.3) is introduced as a postulate of the theory, not a derived result, and the empirical program required to test it is outlined explicitly rather than assumed complet
