Guideline for Integrating Diversity and Inclusion in Geography and Science Education
Description
This guideline for teacher trainers presents an inclusive teaching approach for geography and science education within the V-GeoSciEd project. Central to the framework is the MODI model (Model for integrating Diversity and Inclusion), which promotes awareness of diversity and enables inclusive learning based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. The guidelines encompass theoretical foundations, curricular considerations, practical implementation, and evaluation methods. Additionally, case studies from geography and science education illustrate strategies to create diverse and equitable learning environments. The aim is to support teacher trainers in developing and implementing inclusive teaching concepts effectively.
The guidelines are available in digital and print formats, as well as in English, French, German, Greek, and Spanish.
