Railway operation inputs for ERES capacity assessment

Description
This dataset contains 2,688 railway operation cases used for the electrified rail-based energy storage (ERES) capacity calculations reported in the research article “Transforming electrified railway into mechanical energy storage for energy transition”. Each MATLAB MAT file contains the TrainConfiguration and CaseMetadata variables required by the companion capacity-calculation code.
The cases are distributed across 12 ZIP archives, with 224 cases in each archive. Download and extract all 12 archives into the same destination to reconstruct the directory containing cases/Case_0001.mat through cases/Case_2688.mat.
The companion MATLAB implementation and SWITCH model configuration are available from the associated GitHub repository.
