Description
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) have emerged as transformative technologies that significantly contribute to achieving sustainability goals across various sectors. Sustainability involves meeting present needs without compromising future generations' ability to meet their own requirements. AI and ML offer innovative solutions to optimize resource utilization, reduce environmental impact, and improve decision-making processes. These technologies enable predictive analysis, automation, and intelligent resource management, helping industries become more efficient and environmentally responsible. Applications include smart energy systems, waste management, sustainable agriculture, climate monitoring, transportation optimization, water conservation, and biodiversity preservation. However, challenges such as energy consumption of AI models, ethical concerns, data privacy, and implementation costs must be addressed. This paper explores the role of AI and ML in promoting sustainability, highlighting their applications, benefits, limitations, and future potential.
