Description
Reproducible reference results for a GIS screening of distributed small-reservoir pumped-storage hydropower across 36 European countries. Version 1.2 introduces exact maximum-weight (blossom) matching for the non-overlapping site selection, a 2500 m upper-reservoir altitude cap, a complete 10 m French LiDAR (RGE ALTI) DEM benchmark, and a WorldPop-based spatial context. Reference portfolio: 29,213 sites, 752.9 GWh (1 m lake drawdown, dry-karst exclusion, 2500 m altitude cap, 100 MWh/site energy cap). Companion data of Girard, Rogeau & Quaranta (2026, in prep.), extending Rogeau, Girard & Kariniotakis (Applied Energy, 2017). Version 1.3 adds the karst treatment as an explicit three-level factor in the global (Sobol) sensitivity analysis --- now the second-ranked driver after maximum inter-reservoir distance --- with updated sensitivity result layers; the reference portfolio (29,213 sites, 752.9 GWh) is unchanged.
