MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF RECURRENT APHTHOUS STOMATITIS IN SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN WITH SECONDARY IMMUNE DEFICIENCY

Recurrent aphthous stomatitis is a common inflammatory and ulcerative disease of the oral mucosa in children. It is manifested by the repeated appearance of painful erosions and ulcers, which may interfere with eating, speaking, oral hygiene, and the general well-being of the child. Although the exact etiology of aphthous stomatitis remains unclear, immune dysregulation is considered one of the central mechanisms involved in its development.
