Abstract
The increasing use of smartphones has transformed the way English is taught and learned in higher education. Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) has become an important component of modern language education because it enables learners to study beyond the classroom and access authentic learning materials at any time.
In Uzbekistan, the growing availability of smartphones and mobile Internet has created favorable conditions for integrating mobile technologies into English language teaching. Applications such as Duolingo, Quizlet, BBC Learning English, and Cambridge Dictionary allow students to strengthen vocabulary, improve pronunciation, develop listening skills, and practice grammar independently. These tools also encourage learner autonomy by giving students greater control over the pace and place of learning.
