Background
The physiological model of the cardiovascular system as a mechanical hydraulic pump is fundamentally incomplete. This narrow and outdated biomechanical framework fails to reconcile critical hemodynamic anomalies: the unexplained amplification of kinetic energy in the distal arterial pulse wave, the systemic recycling of biomaterials such as rigid circulating tumor cells (CTCs), cell-free DNA (cfDNA), and degraded proteins without adjacent tissue damage, the ontogenetic paradox of embryonic cardiac pulsation prior to mature chamber formation and the ’14-day black-box’ of embryonic research, the formation of gas-emboli micro-cavitation caused by artificial heart valves, and the consistent regulation of a systemic thermal baseline.
