Data for "Tower- and Drone-Based BVOC Observations in a Suburban Tokyo Forest: Methodological Insights and MEGAN Comparison"

This dataset contains the data used for the manuscript “Tower- and Drone-Based BVOC Observations in a Suburban Tokyo Forest: Methodological Insights and MEGAN Comparison”. The data were collected at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Field Museum Tamakyuryo, a suburban forest in Tokyo, Japan, from June 2023 to October 2025.

The dataset includes tower-based multi-height measurements of biogenic volatile organic compounds, supplemental drone-based observations, tower-based isoprene flux estimates, paired tower–drone flux observations with synchronized measurement times, and paired observed and MEGAN-calculated isoprene fluxes used for model–observation comparison.

The uploaded files are:

1. BVOC_Vertical_Profile.csv
   Multi-height BVOC volume mixing ratios measured at the flux tower.
2. Drone_Tower_Isoprene_Horizontal_Distribution.csv
   Paired tower and drone observations used to examine horizontal variability in isoprene mixing ratios.
3. Isoprene_Flux_Distribution.csv
   Paired tower and drone flux data with synchronized observation timestamps, used to analyze flux distributions under matched measurement conditions.
4. Isoprene_Flux_Observation.csv
   Tower-based isoprene flux estimates calculated using the aerodynamic gradient method.
5. Isoprene_MEGAN_cal_data.csv
   Time-synchronized paired dataset of observed isoprene fluxes and MEGAN-calculated fluxes. This dataset consists of 10-minute resolution values covering the period from June 2023 to October 2025, excluding missing data points.

All times are expressed in Japan Standard Time. Users should note that the observations were conducted intermittently on selected sampling days and do not represent continuous long-term measurements.
