Neolithic truly is a sub-division of the Stone Age and was originally conceived on a purely technological basis it is connoted that during this period the tools of man were made of stone. These stone tools were polished and grounded. There is a cultural and economic stage when man had leant not only to smoothen his stone tools by different methods, but above all he started cultivation of plants and domestication of animals and also started handmade pottery. Man started living sedentary. He was no longer a hunter, moving from place to place in groups but had an organized community or social life. Change from hunting gathering to food production and domestication of animals came into practice gradually.
