Fool's Gold: The ZBCN Assay, Part 2

Authors/Creators

Description

You do not need the ZBCN token to use Zebec's product, so the token's demand is manufactured, not required — and a buyback the company can switch off at will is a promise, not the technological necessity the word "required" is supposed to carry. You do not control your staked or deposited funds, because one ordinary private key can rewrite the programs that hold them. The DAO that supposedly governs all of this cannot: it is a token-weighted vote a single majority holder already controls, sitting over code no vote can bind. And you cannot audit the buyback treasury, because it sits off-chain at a custodian with no proof of who controls it. Four properties DeFi is supposed to guarantee — a load-bearing token, self-custody, real governance, and a public audit trail — are all absent. What remains is a company you are asked to trust.
