Material examined. ARGENTINA: Loreto, Misiones, XII-10-1931, AA Ogloblin (6 males, 2 females, 1 sex undet.; one of these males with label USNMENT02110683). Same locality, XII-12-1931 (1 male); XII-1-1931 (1 male); XII-4-1931 / USNMENT02110493 (1 male); XII-18-1931 (1 male); XII-6-1931 / allotype (1 female) [all USNM].
Notes. This species was described based on three specimens from Misiones Province, Argentina. It differs from other red-striped species of Agudus in having the scutellum almost completely red and the aedeagus with three pairs of apical processes. No recently collected specimens of this species have been found, despite recent sampling in grasslands throughout northern Argentina, suggesting that this species is now extremely rare or extinct (see above notes under A. longiceps).
