Printer-bed dataset: high-speed-camera and accelerometer modal measurements of a suspended 3D-printer bed
Description
Complete reference measurements of a thin plate (Prusa i3 MK3S printer bed), suspended by cords and excited in the out-of-plane direction by an electrodynamic shaker with a single
2-second logarithmic sine sweep over 60–300 Hz.
Contents: Two sequentially acquired high-speed-camera views (Photron FASTCAM SA-Z; 1000 fps, 384 × 384 px, 8-bit, 2 s) in Photron .mraw/.cih format; the synchronised excitation force
and reference acceleration, recorded by a stinger-attached PCB 288D01 impedance head at 25 600 samples/s and hardware-synchronised with the camera via a shared trigger; and the
checkerboard images used for intrinsic camera calibration.
This record is the authoritative source for all measured data accompanying the tutorial. Processing code and derived results are maintained separately at
https://github.com/ladisk/mssp-image-tutorial
The dataset serves as an open benchmark for image-based vibration measurement, allowing camera-based modal parameters to be reproduced and validated against conventional accelerometer
