Supplementary Movies for ''A Self-Consistent 3D Hydrodynamic Model for Helium Transit Signatures in Evaporating Hot Jupiters''

Description

We have developed a self-consistent 3D HD model with H/He chemistry for photoevaporating atmospheres of exoplanets, with the goal to understand what is the impact of stellar winds in transits of gas giants under the He I line.
The .zip contains movies organized in folders corresponding to the respective model, displaying some output variables from the hydrodynamic simulations.
These are total density (with the pink line showing Mach=1), temperature, absolute velocity (from the planet's reference frame), the ratio of ram pressure over thermal pressure, and also the density of the metastable state of Helium.
In addition to the latter, it is also possible to find movies with the optical depth transit of the line of highest wavelength of He I line, as well as the excess absorption for the complete HeI line. These are computed in the exoplanet's reference frame, transiting in the plane of the respective star, using the last 3D output of each simulation.
