Artifact for Accurate Residues for Floating-Point Debugging
Description
This artifact accompanies our paper by Yumeng He and Pavel Panchekha, "Accurate Residues for Floating-Point Debugging", accepted by OOPSLA'26. The paper presents RePo, a floating-point debugging tool for numerical programs. RePo tracks numerical residues during execution and uses carefully designed residue computation formulas together with a novel technique called residue override to reduce false positives and false negatives in challenging numerical computations.
This artifact contains:
- The experimental results reported in the paper, including results from both scientific benchmarks and small numerical benchmarks (expected.tar.zst)
- The RePo source code, along with the inputs and scripts needed to reproduce our experiments (artifact.zip)
This artifact was tested on Ubuntu 24.04.3. We perform all experiments on a machine with Ubuntu 24.04.3, an Intel i7-8700K at 3.70 GHz, and 32 GB of memory, using Clang 18.1.3 for all compilation.
