KYRALZ: A Peer-to-Peer Proof-of-Life Protocol for Self-Sovereign Human Identity

KyralZ is a peer-to-peer (P2P) network for real-world health and biological data assets that functions as a decentralized repository and information exchange for permissioned health data, biometrics and other physical analogues. The network enables individuals to share health data with trusted parties—including families, physicians, and government organizations — through cryptographically secured, consent-driven transactions. KyralZ obviates the need for territorial, national, and redundant electronic health records systems, health information exchanges and third parties that act as intermediaries to compose, repose, transmit or benefit from population health data. Its decentralized P2P architecture further resolves longstanding concerns of provenance and governance of data, and provides a single authoritative source of truth for an individual’s unique biology, proof of life, health data and other tertiary identifiers.

Proof-of-life (POL) establishes the ultimate authenticity of biological and individual identity as a unique human. Consensus is mediated by validators that society already trusts beyond doubt: hospitals and human physicians bound by a duty of care, the Hippocratic Oath and other professional codes of honor, reputation or trade. POL addresses the problem of human identity and uniqueness in a world increasingly dominated by AI agents, deepfakes, digital twins, and non-biological or non-unique profiles. Value is assigned to individual biological and health data based on crypto-economic incentives on the open market, enabling compensation for participation in clinical trials, academic and public health research, and providing a medium of exchange for healthcare rewards, payments or remuneration for consenting to AI model training and other commercial data use. The network is built on the net worth of the human collective as a biological and intellectual species — a resource that may soon become exceedingly scarce.
