Description

The instruction-set architecture (ISA) is a semiring-polymorphic programme language graded by three cohomological tiers H0 (ORBIT/SPLIT/SPLAT/LABEL), H1 (TWIST/FLIP/FLOP), and H2 (BIND). Iterating the ISA on its own description space generates a fixed-point tower coinciding with the Wilson renormalisation group. At level L=0, the ISA describes raw degrees of freedom (statistical mechanics). At L=1, perturbation theory and Feynman diagrams. At L=2, the amplituhedron and topological field theory amplitudes. At L=infinity, the tower converges to a TQFT fixed point with zero beta-function and zero BIND obstruction. The Fano/Steane [[7,1,3]] code is identified as the L=infinity fixed point of the qubit tower: self-dual, with beta* equal to infinity. For SU(3) QCD, the tower has no TQFT fixed point, proposed as an ISA statement of colour confinement.
