Description
ABSTRACT:
This paper investigates the effect of the collective bargaining process on organizational performance, using DSTV Calabar as a case study. A survey research design was adopted, with primary data collected through structured questionnaires administered to a sample of 35 employees selected using simple random sampling. Descriptive statistics, including frequency and percentage distributions, were used to summarize respondents’ demographic characteristics and responses, while inferential analysis using ANOVA tested the study hypotheses. The findings reveal that effective collective bargaining significantly enhances organizational performance, as evidenced by improved employee morale, reduced workplace conflicts, and higher productivity levels. Labour-management cooperation emerged as a critical determinant of positive performance outcomes, with the ANOVA results indicating a statistically significant relationship (F = 16.11, p = 0.0022). The study also highlights the importance of institutional and managerial frameworks in facilitating successful bargaining processes. The study recommends that organizations prioritize collaborative labour-management relations to achieve operational efficiency, industrial harmony, and sustainable performance.
