Homo Somniator- Manifesto

Authors/Creators

Description

Abstract

Homo Somniator proposes a new conceptual framework for understanding the future evolution of human identity in the age of artificial intelligence. It argues that humanity is entering a historical transition in which the defining characteristic of the human being is shifting from the accumulation of knowledge to the capacity for inspiration, imagination, perception, and creative realization. Rather than viewing AI primarily as a technological disruption, the manifesto interprets it as a catalyst that exposes the limitations of a civilization built around knowledge as the highest measure of human value.

The manifesto introduces the concept of Homo Somniator, the "dreaming human" as a new anthropological model whose primary role is to perceive possibilities, receive inspiration, and responsibly transform potential into reality. It explores the implications of this shift for education, creativity, architecture, leadership, innovation, relationships, and social institutions, arguing that existing systems were designed to develop Homo Sapiens and are increasingly inadequate for cultivating the capacities required in the emerging era.

Drawing from architecture, creativity research, systems thinking, education, philosophy, and lived creative practice, the work presents a coherent set of principles centered on perception, curiosity, intuition, multidimensional thinking, synchronicity, co-creation, creative responsibility, and the understanding of reality as an evolving field of possibilities rather than a fixed condition. It further proposes a radical reorientation of education from transmitting knowledge to developing the uniquely human capacities that cannot be automated.

Rather than offering a technological forecast, Homo Somniator presents a philosophical and educational manifesto that invites educators, researchers, policymakers, designers, leaders, and creative practitioners to reconsider the purpose of human development in the twenty-first century. It argues that the next stage of civilization will be determined not by those who possess the most information, but by those who can imagine, discover, and responsibly bring new realities into existence.
