The 28th annual conference of the European Forum on Urban Forestry was held in Malmö (Sweden) between 26 and 29 May 2026. The overarching theme of ‘Diversity in Urban Forestry - bringing People, Tees and Ideas together', which is further developed along six sub-themes
• Counting What Counts: Turning Urban Tree Data into Impact;
• Building Resilient Urban Forests Through Governance and Collaboration;
• Urban Tree Access in Numbers: Equity, Cooling and Health;
• Rethinking Urban Forest Forms: From Tiny Forests to Living Labs;
• Beyond Shade: Measuring the Environmental Performance of Urban Green;
• Culture, Community and Climate: Putting Urban Forestry into Practice.

The Book of Abstracts includes the abstracts of the talks and posters presented during the conference.

EFUF2026 was organised by the Tree Office (Trädkontoret), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), the City of Malmö, the EFUF Association and sponsored by the International Union of Forest Research Organisations (IUFRO) and the European Forest Institute (EFI).

The authors of the respecive abstracts are responsible for the abstract contents, and have the copy rights on their abstracts.
