Description

This dataset contains FTIR absorption spectra of neat hydrocarbons and alcohols, aviation and automotive fuels, and blends collected at Oregon State University and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

The complete-description.pdf document fully details the neat molecules, fuels, and blends with spectra contained here. In addition, the equipment and protocol used for collecting absorption spectra are described.

Filenames with `-REP#` describe replicates of the same sample.

Aviation fuels:
FT-SPK (FTSPK)
HEFA
RJ4
ATJ
JETA
F-24 (F24)

Abbreviations used:
26DMO: 2,6-dimethyloctane
DMCO: 1,4-dimethylcyclooctane
IPA: isopropyl alcohol
LIM: limonene
PRF: primary reference fuels (n-heptane & isooctane)
TRF: toluene reference fuels (n-heptane, isooctane, & toluene)
TERF: toluene ethanol reference fuels (n-heptane, isooctane, toluene, & ethanol)

Blends of aviation fuels and molecules with Jet A are indicated with FUEL##:
ATJ5050: 50% ATJ, 50% Jet A
HEFA1090: 10% HEFA, 90% Jet A
HEFA2080: 20% HEFA, 80% Jet A
LIM1090: 10% limonene, 90% Jet A

PRF blends indicate isooctane volume %:
PRF20: 80% n-heptane, 20% isooctane
PRF80: 20% n-heptane, 80% isooctane

See complete-description.pdf with full details of all blends.
