Dataset for: A deprivation–reintroduction paradigm suggests that perceived scent intensity is associated with the desire for continued use in cosmetics: An exploratory study on yamitsuki

Description

De-identified participant-level data and reproducible R code underlying manuscript PONE-D-26-13870R2. The package contains daily preference and perceived scent intensity ratings for Days 1-28, desire-for-continued-use ratings on Day 1 and Day 28, a minimal set of anonymized participant characteristics, and the scripts for all reported analyses: linear mixed-effects models with Holm-adjusted week contrasts, a paired analysis of desire for continued use, an exploratory joint change-pattern visualization, a continuous follow-up regression, sensitivity analyses, and regression diagnostics. Weekly means and change scores are recomputed from the daily ratings; no legacy cluster assignments or previously calculated analysis variables are required. Clustering and regression use the same design-defined change scores and are therefore interpreted as sequential exploratory analyses rather than independent confirmation. Analyses were run in R 4.5.2, and SHA256 checksums for every deposited file are included in the package. See README.md for the data dictionary, missing-data rules, and software requirements.
