Numerical model setup for investigating the Pacific Water Export from the Chukchi Sea

This dataset provides the model code and input files for a pan-Arctic coupled sea ice–ocean model built upon the MITgcm (checkpoint c66m). The simulation spans 2010–2020 and is forced with 3‑hourly ERA‑5 reanalysis data, including sea surface wind speed, temperature, humidity, precipitation, surface pressure, and downward shortwave and longwave radiation. These forcing fields have not been uploaded with this code package, but the original ERA-5 data are available at: https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/cdsapp#!/dataset/reanalysis-era5-single-levels?tab=overview.

Within the dataset, the "code" directory contains the configuration files, while the "input" directory holds the parameter settings and ancillary input files required for the simulation. The key outputs needed for diagnosing the volume and barotropic vorticity budgets are set in data.diagnostics.
