Description
The table in this repository provides the resulting ensemble kinematic age catalog for the ~1.5 million LAMOST DR5 stars described in Table 1. A small fraction of stars yield formal ages <0 Gyr or >15 Gyr, which we attribute to edge effects and mild extrapolation of the calibrated relation. These objects should be interpreted cautiously as belonging to the youngest and oldest inferred populations, respectively, and are not recommended for direct use in quantitative analyses requiring physically bounded ages.
Stars with ages >10 Gyr should also be used with caution, as the thick disk likely formed rapidly, implying a weaker or less well-constrained age–lnJz relation in this regime.
