EKARUS: The future of PAPYRUS at the Cima Ekar Telescope

Description

EKARUS is an Adaptive Optics (AO) R&D platform under development led by ONERA/LAM and INAF to be the successor of PAPYRUS [1] at the 1.82 m Copernico Telescope of

the Asiago Observatory in Italy. The EKARUS design targets high modularity and high AO performance with the objectives to advance technology maturation, foster education

and training, and mutualize AO expertise and resources within the community.

EKARUS will include a two stages AO architecture with multiple visitor ports for both wave-front sensing and imaging/spectroscopic applications.
