AI-PROGNOSIS_D2.5 / Updated report on user research and co- creation

Description

Executive summary

The purpose of deliverable D2.5 “Updated report on user research and co-creation” is to provide an updated documentation on stakeholders and potential user needs and methods employed in research and developing new digital solutions. The deliverable clarifies and expands on user needs and prototype feedback imperative for the co-design, and presents it by the tools the project is developing. Different forms of co-creation between developers and users are described, with considerations for co-creation in healthcare application development. As a background, the current status for diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease (PD) and care pathways for people with PD (PwP) are defined through four countries: France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom (UK).

Qualitative and quantitative methods have been used to gather data to inform the design process and enhance user experiences of the AI-PROGNOSIS ecosystem of digital health tools for advancing PD diagnosis and care. User research is an iterative process that plays a pivotal role in shaping user-centric solutions, ensuring that the end product aligns seamlessly with the expectations and preferences of its intended users. Collected data have provided user needs for the solutions of AI-PROGNOSIS, i.e., the mAI-Health mobile app for persons without PD, the mAI-Care mobile app for PwP, and the mAI-Insights platform and the AI-assisted medication decision support module for healthcare professionals, and are coded, described, and prioritised at the end of the report.

This is an updated version of Deliverable D2.1 ‘Initial report on user research and cocreation’, under T2.2 ‘User research and co-creation’, and adds all relevant information collected during 1/7/2024-13/6/2025 to the previous version.
