Science Knows No Borders: ALLEA Condemns Proposed Restrictions by the White House on International Research Collaboration

This is ALLEA’s latest statement calling on the global scientific community to oppose proposed restrictions by the White House on international research collaboration. The statement warns that the measures proposed by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) would undermine academic freedom, politicise research funding, and weaken the international partnerships that drive scientific excellence and innovation. With the public consultation on the proposed rule open until 13 July, ALLEA urges research organisations, policymakers, and individual researchers to respond collectively in defence of open, international scientific cooperation.
