NEBAW: GREEN HYDROGEN PRODUCTION FROM ATMOSPHERIC WATER AND SOLAR ENERGY
Authors/Creators
Description
NEBAW (New Electrolyzer Based on Atmospheric Water) is an innovative research and development project aimed at producing green hydrogen through a fully autonomous and sustainable system that combines atmospheric water harvesting, advanced electrolysis, solar photovoltaic energy, hydrogen compression and storage, and intelligent digital control. Coordinated by GFM and developed in collaboration with GENAQ Technologies, ATD, ABC Compressors, Novation IT Systems, and the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), the project seeks to eliminate the need for external water sources while reducing the environmental footprint of hydrogen production. By integrating renewable energy generation, atmospheric water capture, and advanced process optimization into a single modular platform, NEBAW offers a scalable solution for green hydrogen production in remote, arid, and water-stressed regions, contributing to the transition toward a more sustainable and decarbonized energy system.
