Description
Since 2008, coordinated surveys have been conducted to count grey seals on sandbanks in the Wadden Sea across the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark, as well as on the island of Helgoland, located near the Wadden Sea. These surveys, referred to as trilateral counts, are carried out annually during both the pupping and moulting seasons. Aerial surveys are conducted in all areas.
