The Throne That Weeps Rubies
Description
The Throne That Weeps Rubies is an epic historical novel that blends civilization, mythology, and the search for identity. Set in a world inspired by the glory of the ancient Kingdom of Sheba, it portrays a realm where the power of rulers is measured not only by their swords, but by their wisdom, knowledge, and ability to cultivate peace and sound counsel.
The story begins with Bilqis, the Queen of Wisdom and Reason, and her sister Nadine, a symbol of beauty and purity of heart. While Bilqis devotes herself to building a prosperous kingdom founded on knowledge and justice, Nadine embarks on a fateful journey that will alter the destiny of the ancient world.
Guided by a mysterious message, Nadine travels to Petra, where she uncovers long-buried secrets about her family and her legendary father, Saba ibn Ali, a man who left behind a legacy far greater than thrones and treasures. There, she learns of a lost Sabaean city that appears only once every hundred years, hidden behind gates of mystery and guarded by black rubies.
However, the disappearance of Iram, a scholar searching for the lost city, transforms her quest into a dangerous race against a shadowy organization bearing the emblem of a serpent devouring the sun. The group seeks to obtain the Key of Sheba, an artifact capable of revealing the greatest secrets of an ancient civilization.
Across the deserts of Petra and Wadi Rum, through Byzantium, Greece, and Jerusalem, the destinies of the characters intertwine in a sweeping saga of adventure, love, politics, and prophecy.
While Nadine searches for the lost city and discovers the true meaning of love and sacrifice, Bilqis follows a different path—one leading toward wisdom and faith. Her journey ultimately brings her face to face with the Prophet Solomon in an intellectual and spiritual encounter that transforms the course of her life.
More than a tale of kings and treasures, the novel carries a profound civilizational message: nations are not built through war, but through knowledge, justice, and compassion. It argues that great civilizations endure when they collaborate in creation rather than compete in destruction.
The Throne That Weeps Rubies is an Arab epic with universal appeal, drawing inspiration from the history of ancient Yemen to present a powerful human story about authority, love, faith, identity, and the future of civilizations.
