Invasiveness Screening Kit (ISK) v3: integrated platform for AS-ISK, TAS-ISK and TPS-ISK

The Invasiveness Screening Kit (ISK) v3 is an integrated Microsoft Excel/VBA-based decision-support platform comprising the Aquatic Species Invasiveness Screening Kit (AS-ISK), the Terrestrial Animal Species Invasiveness Screening Kit (TAS-ISK) and the Terrestrial Plant Species Invasiveness Screening Kit (TPS-ISK).

ISK v3 consolidates the previously separate AS-ISK, TAS-ISK and TPS-ISK workbooks into a single multilingual platform. It includes harmonised database handling, screening-list management, reporting functions, database import/export and merge tools, re-scoring functions, multilingual interface support, local taxon-name autocomplete, optional online taxonomic verification links, and a built-in ROC curve computation engine for calibration of screening thresholds using a priori invasive/non-invasive categorisations.

The development of ISK v3 was supported by the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment (ROPME), Kuwait, under Phase II of the ROPME programme.
