Competence Framework for Youth Empowerment in Gender Equality Advocacy

HERStory, Our Future is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Youth that aims to empower young people aged 18–30 as advocates for gender equality through digital storytelling, online activism, and structured capacity building.

Within this framework, Task 2.4 develops a competence framework that translates the evidence gathered throughout WP2 into practical learning priorities for future training and advocacy actions. The project itself defines WP2 as the space where the knowledge framework is built through context analysis and the identification of key competences, while the European diagnosis clarifies that its purpose is to inform subsequent activities, especially T2.4 and WP4.

This document is part of Work Package 2, Foundations for Action, and is closely connected to the other tasks developed under the same work package. It builds on the methodological basis established in T2.1, the evidence generated through the European-Wide Diagnosis Report in T2.2, and the real-life narratives collected through T2.3 Mapping HerStories.

The competence framework is therefore conceived as a bridge between research and action: a document that turns diagnosis, lived experience, and transnational comparison into a practical reference for future advocates, trainers, youth workers, and partner organisations.
