Introduction: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection represents a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 130 to 170 million people suffer from chronic HCV infection, and more than 350,000 of them die each year from liver disease related to hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is primarily transmitted through blood, particularly through unsafe injections, uncontrolled transfusions, and the sharing of needles or syringes among people who inject drugs or engage in sexual practices involving blood exposure. Thus, the objective The aim of our study is to estimate the prevalence of HIV-HCV co-infection at the Al-Nadjma Multipurpose Centre in N Djamena.
