Reconstructing Social Behavioral Science
Description
This paper reconstructs social behavioral science by introducing an entropy-based framework for modeling individual choices, interactions, and collective dynamics. Each individual is represented by a binary pair \((a,b)\), which serves as the minimal unit of preference, intention, and behavioral tendency. Interactions between individuals are expressed as sign matrices, where conformity, opposition, interference, and misunderstanding appear as sign flips and structural twists. These twists represent informational asymmetry and cognitive bias, directly contributing to the increase or decrease of social entropy.
Social groups are formulated as hierarchical matrices of size \(4\times4\), \(8\times8\), \(16\times16\), and higher, naturally constructing layers from individuals to small groups and to society as a whole. The entropy at each layer is determined by the distribution of signs and the degree of twist in the interaction matrix, providing a
unified explanation for polarization, synchronization, congestion, and cooperation.
This study presents the binary individual model, the formulation of interactions through sign matrices, the definition of social entropy, and potential applications to traffic flow and collective decision-making.
本研究は、社会行動をエントロピーの観点から再構成し、個体の選択、相互作用、情報の偏りがどのように集団全体の秩序・混乱・分極を生み出すかを定式化する。
本モデルでは、個体の行動状態を二値的な選択として表し、その分布と変化を社会エントロピーとして測定する。個体間の影響は、同調、反発、誤解、情報の非対称性といった社会的作用として扱い、これらがエントロピーの増減にどのように寄与するかを解析する。
本研究は、集団意思決定、世論形成、交通流、群集行動など、多様な社会現象に共通する「秩序化」と「乱れ」の力学をエントロピーの変化として統一的に説明する枠組みを与える。
