Replication package for: Financial speculation and environmental valuation in carbon price formation in forest carbon markets: a systematic review

This Zenodo record provides the replication package supporting the systematic and bibliometric review entitled “Financial speculation and environmental valuation in carbon price formation in forest carbon markets: a systematic review”.

The package includes:

• a curated public metadata dataset comprising 180 final records;
• documentation of the search protocol and historical retrieval workflow;
• PRISMA 2020 materials and flow diagrams;
• a metadata data dictionary;
• validation summaries and source-database distribution files; and
• R scripts used to validate the released public metadata and document the reproducibility materials.

The historical screening workflow reported in the manuscript identified 68 records in Scopus and 114 records in the Web of Science Core Collection, resulting in 182 records before deduplication. Two duplicate records were removed, yielding a final curated corpus of 180 records. After deduplication, the final corpus comprised 114 Web of Science records and 66 Scopus records.

The repository does not include full-text articles, raw database exports, full abstracts, raw affiliation fields, raw cited-reference fields, or other materials subject to database, publisher, or copyright restrictions. The released files provide curated public metadata and reproducibility documentation only.

The original raw exports from the historical search execution were not retained after local file loss. Therefore, the package distinguishes between the historical search protocol and counts reported in the manuscript, the preserved final curated corpus, and any future database-search reruns. Any future search rerun should be reported as a reconstruction rather than as an identical reproduction of the historical database execution.
