World Biodiversity Forum 2026 – Resolution

Approved by acclamation by the participants of the 4^th World Biodiversity Forum, 14-18 June 2026.

The 4^th World Biodiversity Forum WBF2026, held from 14 – 18 June 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, gathered more than 1150 researchers, practitioners, representatives from businesses, governments, Indigenous Peoples, NGOs and philanthropies, artists, and policymakers, from more than 70 countries, on the topic of biodiversity under the theme ‘Leading Transformation Together’. Its organization was led by the University of Zurich, Switzerland, supported by a diverse steering committee and numerous partners and sponsors.

The resolution was drafted on the basis of the WBF2026 theme 'Leading transformation together', informed by abstracts of  sessions, workshops, and presentations (synthesized by Elena Plekhanova, supported by NotebookLM). The resulting draft was reviewed by the WBF2026 Steering Committee, and finalized by Roger Keller, Cornelia Krug, Owen Petchey, and Gabriela Schaepman-Strub.
