Open Science at MJFF in 2026: Increasing research impact, integrity, and engagement

Presentation by Josh Gottesman (Program Lead, Open Science, the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research) shared during DataCite Open Hours on 17 June 2026. The slides introduce the vision and the strategic research agenda at the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). The presentation covers MJFF's approach to embedding openness in their grantmaking by expanding policy, educating stakeholders, and developing tools and workflows. This talk explains the MJFF's motivation in joining DataCite and registering DOIs for awards.
