Description
This script provides the computational workflow used to process terrestrial ecotoxicity data and calculate extrapolation factors applied in the MicroPlasticTox modelling framework. The script imports and filters ECOTOX-derived terrestrial toxicity records, harmonizes toxicity endpoint units to mg/kg, classifies exposure data as acute or chronic, groups toxicity values by species, chemical, endpoint, and exposure type, and performs regression-based calculations of extrapolation factors. The generated extrapolation factors are used to support terrestrial ecotoxicity calculations within the MicroPlasticTox web application: https://www.enaloscloud.novamechanics.com/insight/MicroPlasticTox/
